Warriors-Bishops
Waccamaw High's boys soccer team will travel to Bishop England on Tuesday in a game that will determine the Lower State championship.
Warrior midfielder Rhyne Garrity converted on a penalty kick in the ninth minute and midfielder Patrick Williams scored with an assist from Tommy Collins as the Waccamaw boys (19-4-1) defeated Hanahan 2-0 on Saturday.
The Warriors prevented the Hawks from getting a shot on goal in the game and gaining a spot in Tuesday night's Lower State final for the third straight year.
Bishop England (15-5-2) beat Andrew Jackson 6-0 on Saturday.
Andrew Jackson came into the game with a gaudy 19-1 record and a No. 4 ranking in Class AA, but the Vols could not muster a challenge. Bishop England took 30 shots to the Vols' two and dominated from start to finish.
The Waccamaw girls were scheduled to host Bishop England in a Lower State final soccer match today at 6 p.m.
