Warriors fall 50-0

Waccamaw's three-game winning streak ended last week with a 50-0 loss at Timmonsville.
The Warriors lost three fumbles that were converted into touchdowns by the Whirlwinds.
"We didn't play well," Waccamaw coach Tyronne Davis said. "We've got a lot of work ahead of us."
The team has been bitten by the injury bug in the past few weeks, especially in the backfield. Jeffron Smalls suffered a season-ending broken leg, J.J. Sherman has missed time due to an illness, and Jalen Simmons was injured early in the game last week and was limited to 44 yards rushing.
Davis has been forced to use third- and fourth-string running backs and kids from the junior varsity team.
The Warriors had 134 yards of offense against Timmonsville, 93 on the ground and 44 through the air. Rashawn Mitchell had 32 yards rushing and Jack Monroe completed two passes to Rob Ferraro for 41 yards.
Waccamaw, which has given up 50 points in each of its two losses this season, starts region play on Friday night in Mullins.
Dillon and Aynor are 4-1 and atop Region VIII-AA. Waccamaw and Loris are 3-2, and Marion and Mullins are 1-4.
"We wanted to come out of the non-region schedule with a winning record," Davis said. "I told the kids, 'preseason is over now.' "

Halfway through the season, Waccamaw has been outscored 127-76.
Simmons is the leading rusher for Waccamaw with 99 carries for 603 yards and seven touchdowns. He's averaging 6.1 yards per carry. Smalls has 251 yards and two touchdowns.
Monroe is 8-for-15 passing for 137 yards. Rob Ferraro is the leading receiver with 126 yards.
Donovan Syndab leads the Waccamaw defense with 24 tackles, 12 assists and three fumble recoveries. Harley Temlin has 20 tackles, five assists, three sacks and one fumble recovery for a touchdown; and Simmons has 19 tackles and five assists.
