Warriors capture region title

For the third straight year the Waccamaw High's girls and boys track teams won the Region VII-AA title.

The girls took the top five spots to win by 31 points.

Team: Waccamaw 15, Aynor 46, Loris 90, Marion 104.

Individual: Grace Barnett, 19:28; Amelia Jones, 20:13; Emily Heimberger, 20:57; Rachel Thornton, W, 21:24; Jamie Barnett, 21:29.

The boys took three of the top five spots to win by 24 points.

Team: Waccamaw 21, Aynor 45, Marion 82, Loris 98.

Individual: Robert Jones, Waccamaw, 16:48; Jaz Greene, Waccamaw, 16:53; Austin Querubin, Marion, 17:39; Dylan Phipps, Aynor, 17:48; Jackson Stacy, Waccamaw, 17:48.
