A Murrells Inlet man who was believed to have been armed with a gun Tuesday afternoon was arrested Wednesday morning.
Deputies attempted to arrest Andrew Tucker Wesley, 19, Tuesday because they had a court order to pick him up. He was able to get away at that time.
Witnesses reported Wesley may possibly have a gun in that incident.
At about 1 a.m. Wednesday, while on patrol, a deputy saw a golf cart being driven without headlights on Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet. A traffic stop was made and the deputy saw it was Wesley driving the golf cart.
He was arrested for False Information to a Police Officer and a golf cart violation.
Wesley was transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing and to be transported on the probate order.
