Wachovia Securities has announced that Michael D. Farish CFP, CHFC, has been promoted to first vice president of investments -- a title reserved for leading financial advisors as demonstrated by their high level of service to clients and production at the firm.

Farish has been advising clients since 1990. He has served as past president of the Grand Strand Chapter of the Financial Planners Association. He's been active as a youth sports coach and with the youth music program at his church.

He attends Belin Memorial United Methodist Church and resides with his wife of 22 years, Paula, and their two children, Brittney and Bo, who are both students at the College of Charleston.
