Rachel Fenters in S.C. teen pageant

HEMINGWAY -- Rachel Allyn Fenters, the daughter of Donnie and Donna Fenters of Hemingway, is competing in the Miss South Carolina Teen Pageant in Spartanburg. The winner will compete in August for the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen in Orlando, Fla.
Pageantry has been a way of life for Rachel and competitions are nothing new to the rising senior at Johnsonville High School. This year, Rachel participated in the "Miss America Cruise," traveling to New York twice and even touring Europe with the Johnsonville High School Spanish Club. To top it off, Rachel recently won a trip to Washington, D.C., and Atlantic City, N.J., with the Miss South Carolina organization. There she received a pearl and diamond ring, a dinner engagement with the Miss America Board, lunch at the Miss America headquarter, and a pajama party with Miss America 2008, Kirsten Haglund.
"This will be one year I will never forget, and I am so grateful for these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities," says Rachel. The winner will be crowned on July 5.
