The following reports were obtained from the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office as well as the Georgetown and Andrews Police Departments.

Woman attacked

An Andrews woman said she was attacked by her husband who was upset about his father's death.

The woman said she went to bed May 2 and woke up when her husband was "pushing some type of pills in her mouth," the report states.

When she asked what he was doing, he said he was giving her sleeping pills because she needed to rest.

She went back to sleep but was awakened again. This time the man was holding a pillow over his wife's face, she told police.

She tried to find a phone to call 911 but could not find one. She stayed awake the rest of the night.

No arrest has been made.

Child abuse

A 6-year-old Waccamaw Neck child told leaders at his school he was "beat up" by his mother's ex-boyfriend.

The child had injuries on his face ad chest.

The boy's mother was called to the school. She said she was aware of the assault and tried to stop it.

She said her ex-boyfriend "has anger problems" and the attack on her son took place at a restaurant in Myrtle Beach.

The case has been turned over to the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

Irate parent

When a child got hurt on the playground at Pleasant Hill Elementary School May 20, a nurse called his parents to let them know what happened.

During the conversation the child's father -- a 39-year-old man -- got mad and started cursing at the nurse while calling her a vulgar name.

The man then drove to the school and continued cursing in the office within earshot of small children.

School officials escorted the man to a conference room but he did not calm down. He continued cursing and when his wife tried to intervene, he told her to "shut up" or he would "slap the (mess) out of her."

The school's principal was called to the room and the man reportedly got in his face and made more threats, the report states.

The man was expected to be charged with disturbing schools.

Stolen vehicle

A 1993 Honda Civic was stolen from inside a gate at a business in the 500 block of North Fraser Street May 14.

An employee said the gate was locked when everyone left the previous day. Police found the fence chain on the ground.

The value of the vehicle is about $4,000.

Failure to pay

A manager of the Vista Inn at Pawleys Island reported a guest who did not pay.

The manager said a 58-year-old Andrews woman checked in to the hotel May 14 and gave a credit card number and asked that a hold be placed on the card until she left.

The card was declined when it was processed.

When the woman was informed about the card, she said she was going to go to the bank to get cash but never returned, leaving her belongings behind in the room.

Domestic assault

A 19-year-old Andrews woman said the father of her children stopped by her house May 13 and an argument erupted.

Things turned violent when the 20-year-old man started choking the woman. She bit him and got away. She tried to call 911 but her broke the phone.

He is also accused of breaking a screen off a window and throwing it at the woman.

The man was arrested.

Harassment

A 37-year-old Andrews man stopped by the Andrews Police Department May 15 and said he is being harassed by his estranged wife.

He said when he goes to his aunt's house, where his wife is staying, she cusses at him, says he is "no good" and threatens to have him "locked up," the report states.

He was advised to seek a restraining order.

Kids on the school roof

Deputies were sent to McDonald Elementary School May 20 after someone spotted a couple of kids on the roof.

The children, ages 12 and 13, told officers they did it because they were bored.

They were charged with trespassing and were released to their parents.
