A 21-year-old Pawleys Island man was arrested and charged with robbing the Radio Shack on Highway 17 Bypass in Murrells Inlet.
Darvell Kendall Briggs of Lance Lane in Pawleys Island was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
The robbery happened at about 8 p.m. Saturday, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies met with the two employees who were on duty. They said the man walked into the store and asked one of the workers to give him the money from the cash register. He walked to the other employee and struck him on the face, the report states. The female worker who was standing by the cash register refused to give the robber any money.
The man then pulled out a knife and again the woman said "no" to his demand for cash. While this was happening, the other worker left the store through a back door and the robber followed him, according to the report.
The woman called 911.
A short while later -- using a description gave by the victims and the department's bloodhounds -- deputies arrested Briggs.
The whole incident was caught on the store's security cameras and the tape is now in evidence.

A Georgetown woman found out last week her 15-year-old daughter has been involved in a sexual relationship for the past few months with a 31-year-old man.
The teen told deputies she met the man through a friend in Andrews. He told her he was 18.
She said she met with the man about once a month since July 2007. The sexual acts did not begin until March.
According to the report, the man may have moved to Orangeburg when he found out the cops had been called.
So far, no charges have been filed.
* The owner of the Consignment Barn told deputies he believes someone has been sleeping on the porch of his business.
He said there was a can of tuna fish near the front door, clothes hanging in trees and trash around the building.
He asked for deputies to keep an eye on his property at night, and if they see someone, tell them they cannot stay at that location.
* Deputies met with a contractor at Pawleys Pointe Townhouses Aug. 14. He showed them one of the pool house bathrooms that had been vandalized. A sink was pulled from the wall and some of the piping was damaged, which will cost about $400 to fix.
The floor was covered with candy wrappers.
* More than $2,600 worth of copper wire was stolen from a building owned by HTC in Murrells Inlet. A company investigator told deputies the theft occurred between Aug. 8h and Aug. 11.
The thief cut a chain-link fence in order to get inside.
Horry police also were notified because it's believed someone saw the wire being burned at a home in Loris in order to remove the plastic coating. Investigators believe a Murrells Inlet man also may have been involved, but so far no arrests have been made.
* A woman from Easter Lilly Court in Murrells Inlet said she bought some carpet, and when it was being installed a $6,000 ring disappeared. The woman said one of the installers was acting suspicious, and about an hour after he arrived he said he had to leave to go to the bank.
The woman said the last time she saw the 3-karat-diamond ring it was on the nightstand by her bed.

Police say teenagers are believed to be to blame for spray painting gang signs all over the laundry room at Thornton Hall Apartments on Lincoln Street.
An officer reports five-pointed stars and the letters "CK" and "B" were painted on various areas of the room.
The symbols also were painted on one of the housing units.
The officer talked with some of the residents, who said they have seen juveniles loitering in the area recently.
* The trailer portion of an 18-wheeler was reported stolen from the 300 block of Church Street Aug. 14. The owner said he left the red, drop-deck log trailer in an empty lot next to Quality Inn, and when he returned it was gone.
There was another trailer in the lot that was not there when the victim left his trailer, so he believes someone switched trailers.
* Police were sent to Badcock Furniture Aug. 13 because of two suspicious people in the store.
A female worker said the male subjects -- who appeared to be in their teens or early 20s -- walked in and started looking at a bedroom set. They had a cell phone and were using it to take pictures of the furniture.
When they were asked to stop taking pictures, the subjects "sucked their teeth" and then walked out. The complainant said when she walked over to the subjects, she saw her photo on the cell phone.
They were not located.
* The manager of Treadquarters Discount Tire on North Fraser Street said he was assaulted by a disgruntled worker Aug. 13.
When police arrived, they saw the victim was "bleeding profusely from his arms and nose." They also saw broken glass on the floor.
The man said he was writing up the worker for getting in a confrontation. The worker reportedly "grabbed the discipline forms, ripped them up and threw the paper in the manager's face," the report states. He then allegedly struck the manager with a closed fist.
As the manager tried to struggle with the suspect, he was pushed against a window, causing it to break.
The suspect fled the area in a car before police arrived.

Georgetown Times. How dare you? Why would you print a story about a pedophile who has not been arrested? Georgetown watch out. A pedophile is in your area. He is living in Green Acres Tailor park. He poses as an 18 year old and goes after girls under 16 and under. He communicates with them via the computer and asks for pictures and videos. He has "dated" several young girls in the Georgetown area. His mother provides transportation for him to go see these girls. If you have any information about this man or his mother, please contact local law enforcement officials. Posted by justamom on 8/21/2008
