A Pawleys Island couple called 911 March 10 when they realized their teenage daughter had left home without permission.
The girl’s father went out looking for her but was unsuccessful.
Later that night the teen called her parents and said she left to go take care of one of her friends who got sick at a party where alcohol was available.
The mother of the teen called the sick girl’s father to inform him what was happening.
He went to the party location and picked up his daughter to take her to the hospital because she was “very intoxicated,” the report states.
The father of the runaway girl then went to where the party was being held but no one would answer the door.
A deputy called the runaway’s phone and let her know if she did not come to the door she could be arrested for hindering an investigation.
The teen later returned home and once again said she had been taking care of her friend.
However, someone who was at the party had sent the teen’s mother a picture from the event.
The teen and her friends were photographed drinking alcohol.
If the person who supplied the drinks is identified, charges may be filed.

Car window smashed

A woman from Nushell Road in Georgetown said she was awakened at about 11:30 p.m. Monday by a loud car in her driveway.
At first she thought nothing of it because she had a guest and thought it was that person being dropped off.
However, she soon heard yelling and the sound of breaking glass.
She ran outside to investigate and saw the driver’s side window on her vehicle was shattered and there was a cinder block on the seat.
By the time she got outside, whoever committed the vandalism was gone. She said she has no idea who would do such a thing.
Her house guest was not there when the incident occurred.
The woman said it’s possible someone who is mad at him may be responsible.

Ex arrested after threats
and attempted break-in

Deputies were dispatched to a home on Sollie Circle Monday afternoon because of a report of a burglary in progress.
A woman said her ex-boyfriend — a 26-year-old Georgetown man — was trying to get inside.
The woman said her ex called her that afternoon and said he was going to knock all the teeth out of her mouth.
He showed up at the woman’s house about 30 minutes later.
When he started banging on the door the woman grabbed her children and they hid in a closet while she called 911.
The man was gone when deputies arrived but they saw a concrete block that had been thrown through the kitchen window.
The man was found and was arrested Tuesday.
