FUNERAL SERVICES

Clee Belin Sr.


Funeral service for the late Mr. Clee Belin Sr. were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Hopewell AME Church in Hemingway, S.C.
Interment followed in the Hopewell Cemetery in Hemingway, directed by Nesmith~Pinckney Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Belin departed his earthly life on Thursday, May 17, 2012.  
He was born on February 23, 1951 in Williamsburg County to the late Aszlee Belin and Johnny Foxworth.
Mr. Belin was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County and at Chavis High School.
He was formerly employed at Wellman Industrial for 27 years.
He was also a member of Bethlehem AME Church.
Mr. Belin leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Jeannetta Belin and one son, Edward Belin Jr., both of the home; two adopted step-daughters, Sherrisa A. Young and Zarie Fulmore both of Hemingway, S.C.; four sisters, Shirley Barkers and Elizabeth Flowers, both of Hemingway, S.C.; Ludell Flowers of Newark, N.J.; four brothers, David Belin of Boston, Willie Joe Belin of New York, Luther Belin of Texas, and John Scott of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three aunts, Massie Purch, Lucille Belin and Earline Davis from Centenary, S.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leland “L.C.” Goings

Leland C. “L.C.” Goings, 66, husband of Ara Marie Hammett Goings, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at his home.
Born on December 24, 1945, in Hemingway, he was a son of the late Joseph Madrick Goings and the late Eva Smalls Goings.
Mr. Goings attended Calvary Free Will Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Goings Small Engine.
He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, watching the Gamecocks play and most of all being with his loving family.
Mr. Goings was the president of the “Goings Small Engine Coffee Club” and will be missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two children, Kathy Goings Cribbs (Shane) of Mullins, Joseph L. Goings (Martha) of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Maegan Goings and David Leland Goings, both of Georgetown and Keeton Cribbs of Mullins; one great grandchild, Justice Allen Monroe of Georgetown; four sisters, Sue Turner (David) of Andrews, Agnes McCaw (Tim) of Suffolk, Va., Jennifer Harrelson (Donnie) of Georgetown and Doris Poston (Mickey) of Georgetown; one brother, Linwood Goings (Marcia) of Georgetown; a special niece, Sharon Goings Mills (Wayne); a special family member, Benjamin “Santee” Woodberry (Marie) of Georgetown; and a number of very special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Goings Sanders and Linda Goings Elliott; four brothers, Joe Goings, Sam Goings, Earl Goings and John Goings
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Teddy Rabon and Rev. James Arthur McElveen officiating.
Burial followed in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.

Michael Haselden
     
Michael Perry Haselden, 66, formerly of Georgetown, S.C., the beloved husband of Phyllis Grill Haselden of Manning, S.C., departed this life Saturday evening, May 19, 2012, at the Tidelands Hospice House.
Mr. Haselden was born the son of James Clifton Haselden and Leta Clarice Altman Haselden on October 7, 1945, in Georgetown.
He was a graduate of Andrews High School; was a retired employee of CSX Railroad; was a Mason and Shriner; and was a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church.
Michael and Phyllis were married in February 1973, and celebrated 39 years together in this life.
Phyllis made her Home Going on May 11, 2012, and today they live eternally together.  
They leave behind a son, Joseph Ryan (Amy) Haselden; two daughters, Elizabeth Ruth Haselden and Kelly Haines; and one granddaughter, Emma Haselden.
Michael is also survived by two brothers, Wyatt (Karen) Haselden and Rodney (Carol) Haselden; one sister, Donnava H. Cauthen; and three nephews, Tyler Haselden, Nicholas Haselden, and Jeffrey Haselden; and the large extended family of Phyllis Grill Haselden.  
He was predeceased by his parents, and his nephew, James Blen Haselden.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at the Andrews First Baptist Church with Rev. Sapp officiating.
The family will receive family and friends immediately after the service in the church sanctuary.
Memorials may be made to the Tidelands Hospice House.

Devin Kerrigan

Devin Joseph Kerrigan, age 18, of Conway, S.C. died Monday, May 21, 2012 at his residence.
Devin was born in Rocky Mount, N.C., a son of Timothy Joseph Kerrigan and Wendy Gayle Cummings Kerrigan.  
He was preceded in death by a sister, Heather Gayle Bratton and paternal grandfather, Bernard Kerrigan.
He was a graduate of Aynor High School, Class of 2012.
Surviving in addition to his father, Timothy "Tim" Joseph Kerrigan of Conway and his mother, Wendy Gayle Cummings Kerrigan of Georgetown are one brother, Terrell Kerrigan of Conway; two sisters, Savanna Kerrigan and Heather Kerrigan both of Conway; paternal grandmother, Joan Kerrigan of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and maternal grandparents, Don and Marie Cummings of Georgetown; two nieces, Maddylen Page and Abbygayle Page.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from North Hampton Baptist Church in Georgetown, S.C. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Alice Pfahl

Alice M. Pfahl, 96, widow of Norbert J. Pfahl, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 at her son’s home.
Born on May 18, 1916, in Newburgh Heights, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Klika and the late Emily Wolf Klika.
Mrs. Pfahl was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist for more than 80 years.
Survivors include her son, Norbert Wynn Pfahl and his wife Penny of Georgetown.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Alice Williams

Mrs. Alice Crimmins Williams, 83, of Georgetown, S.C., widow of Reuben Howell Williams Jr., died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Williams was born August 25, 1928, in Macon, Ga., a daughter of Timothy Edward and Martha Young Crimmins.
She was a graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Ga., and was a retired teacher, having taught at Maryville Elementary School as a 4th grade teacher for many years.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Duncan United Methodist Church, Prince George Winyah DAR, a charter member of Friends of Hampton Plantation, and a longtime volunteer at the plantation.
Survivors are two daughters, Clisby Williams of Charleston and Ruth Tolbert of Seneca; four sons, Pete Williams and Sam Williams, both of Pawleys Island, David Williams of Mt. Pleasant, and Arthur Williams of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Crimmins of Macon, Ga., and Lawrence Crimmins of Albany, Ga.; and a sister Margaret C. Slocumb, of Macon, Ga.
Funeral services, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, will be private.
