Dale Lyn Elkins, 37, died Friday, June 19, 2009 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in the Georgetown Church of Christ, directed by Minister Del Elkins and Minister Fred Ady. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
He was born August 23, 1971 in Washington D.C., a son of Del Leon Elkins and Barbara Ann Burgess Elkins.
Dale was employed with Coastal Transfer and Storage. He was a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. He was an avid fan of the University of Michigan and Dale Earnhart, Jr.; and was an electronics enthusiast. Dale was a loving husband, father, son, and friend.
Surviving are: his wife, Anne Marie Hanna Elkins; one daughter, Brianna B. Ward; his parents of Warrington, PA; three siblings, Linda Lee Museus, of Centuria, WI, Deborah Lynn Self of Tulsa, OK, and Dan Elkins of Memphis, TN; a number of nieces and nephews; and four special friends, David and Kelly Howard and Scott and Tammy Fullwood, all of Georgetown.

Levi McKnight Sr.
Levi McKnight Sr. of 101 N. Beech Avenue, Andrews, SC departed this life Sunday, June 14, 2009, at his residence.
Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Great Present AME Church with Rev. Manual Fagle officiating.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. McKnight, a son of the late James McKnight and Rudolph Elizabeth Robinson McKnight, was born April 18, 1960 in Williamsburg County and he received his education from the Williamsburg County public schools.
Survivors are: his son, Levi McKnight Jr, Andrews, SC; seven sisters, Martha Shaw, Virginia Scott, Caretha McKnight, Joyce Hudson of Andrews, SC, Mary McKnight, Janet Woodard of Kingstree, SC and Brenda Mouzon of Florence, SC; one brother, Fred McKnight of Miami, FL; two grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Nathaniel Porchia
Funeral services for the late Nathaniel Porchia were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at St. John AME Church in Nesmith, SC.
The Rev. Willie Holmes, pastor, conducted the religious services.
Interment followed in the Snow Cemetery.
Nesmith-Pinckney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Porchia entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown after an illness.
He was born in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Buster and Alifair Porchia.
He was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County.
he joined St. John AME Church at an early age.
Mr. Porchia was employed by the Town of Pawleys Island.
He received the Citizen of the Year Award in 2007.
He was joined in holy wedlock to Mary Nesmith.
To this union four children were born. One daughther proceeded him in death.
He leaves his cherished memories to his wife, Mary Porchia of Andrews; three daughters, Cylinda M. Nesmith and Latricia Nesmith, both of Marietta, GA, Marilyn Carter of Rochester, NY; one son, Nathaniel T. Porchia of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
