ONETA WARD - ANDREWS

Oneta Singleton Ward, 81, widow of William Lewis Ward, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. John Smiley, were held Monday, June 30, 2008 at Trio United Methodist Church in Trio. Burial, directed by Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home, followed at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown.

Mrs. Ward was born in Horry County on June 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Pearly Clyde Singleton and Florrie Maybell Hardee Singleton. She grew up in Horry County and attended school there.  Mrs. Ward lived in Georgetown for a time prior to moving to Trio over 40 years ago. 

She was a member of Trio United Methodist Church. Survivors are: three sons, Tommy Hughes (Pat) of Andrews; and Larry Hughes (Cynthia) and Eddie Hughes (Ann), both of Trio; one daughter, Shirley Small of George-town; two sisters, Eloise Fox-worth of Pawleys Island and Mary Grace Burkett of George-town; one brother, Billy Singleton of Pawleys Island; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Trio United Methodist Church, 976 Rowell Road, Salters, SC 29595.

ELDER JACKIE FULTON - KINGSTREE

Funeral services for Elder Jackie Harvey Fulton, conducted by Bishop Odell Fulton and Elder Linwood Cooper, were held Monday, June 30, 2008 at Believers Holiness Convention Center in Coward. Burial, directed by Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Elder Fulton, 86, died Thursday, June 26, 2008. He was born in Williamsburg County on August 21, 1921, a son of the late Benjamin Fulton and Ella Fulton. He was a member of Sandridge Holiness Church in Kingstree.

He was formerly employed by Colonial Rubber as a janitor, Georgia Pacific Industries, Williams-burg County Conservation and Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home as a chaplain. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was married to the late Mrs. Dorothy Singletary Fulton and preceded in death by one son, Herbert Douglas. Survivors are: one son reared as his own, Franklin Smith of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; three daughters, Ella Cintron (Ron) of Williamstown, New Jersey; Virginia Graham (David) of Kingstree; and Evangelist Willeas McMillian (Dan) of York, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter reared as his own, Jacqueline Singletary (Kevin) of Lake City; two sisters, Chestina Easley of Kingstree; and Alberta Bryant of New Jersey; five brothers, George Fleming, Lee (Elizabeth) Fleming, Theodore Fleming (Rosa) and James Fleming (Burie), all of Kingstree; and Herman Fleming of Passaic, New Jersey; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

To the family of Elder Jackie Fulton. Your love one will truly be missed alot. I have been knowing his daughter virginia for a long time.................................................................. Don't worry about him now because he is going to be with the Lord................ SLEEP ON ELDER JACKIE FULTON, WE LOVE YOU BUT GOD LOVE YOU THE BEST

He will be greatly missed. I saw him as a grandad. I was heart broken when I heard what happend.
