Phillip Snow, age 66, of Andrews, S.C.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Robert Watts Sr.

Robert “Bob” Olin Watts Sr., 85, of Georgetown, S.C. died Friday, January 25, 2013, at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown.

Mr. Watts was born in Georgetown on April 1, 1927, a son of the late James Pringle Watts and Eliza Rebecca Roberts Watts.  

He grew up in the Sampit community of Georgetown and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  

Mr. Watts retired after 40 years of employment with Westvaco, Andrews Division.  

He served as superintendent for Sampit United Methodist Church for more than 30 years and also in many other positions.  

Mr. Watts was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and was active in the Larry and Dorothy Lambert Sunday School class and the Men’s Prayer Group.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah Graham Watts of Georgetown; a son, Robert O. Watts Jr. (Frankie Ann Tisdale) of Georgetown; a daughter, Susan W. Weckerly (Martin) of Moncks Corner, S.C.; four grandchildren, Bobby and Carson Watts, both of Georgetown; Charlotte L. Bull of Columbia, S.C. and Rebecca L. Jones of Goose Creek, S.C.; and two great-grandchildren.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Watts was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, January 27, 2013, at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.  

Officiating will be the Rev. Chris Browder.  

Burial will follow at Sampit United Methodist Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening, January 26, 2013, at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
