FUNERAL SERVICES

Mildred Juk

Mildred Avant Juk, 87, of Columbia died Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at Agapé Senior.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church in Georgetown at one o’clock.
Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. G. Edward Usher.  Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall.
Burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens at four o’clock.
The family will also receive friends at the home of Dr. S. Stanley Juk, Jr., 1900  Old Neck Rd., Columbia, S.C. 29206 on Wednesday evening, February 10, 2010, from six until eight o’clock.

George Reeves

George A. Reeves, 88, of Georgetown died Monday, February 8, 2010 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Ossie Deese, will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Georgetown Church of God at 2 p.m.
Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Reeves was born November 1, 1921 in Georgetown, a son of the late George Washington Reeves and the late Josephene Lambert Reeves.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who put his family first in all aspects of his life.
As a young man, Mr. Reeves served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II having served in Africa, Europe, and Asia in Okinawa.
He was retired from International Paper and a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Mr. Reeves was a member of the Georgetown Church of God and enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to the mountains.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-four years, Geneva Reeves; his three daughters, Alice (Gleen) Howle of Georgetown, Linda (Wade) Jacobs of Swansea, and Carol (Jimmy) Bessinger of Georgetown; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, his brother D.K. Reeves of Georgetown, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, Caroline Bourne, Melissa Reeves, and Melvina Jones; and three brothers, Calhoun Reeves, Joe Reeves, and Buddy Reeves.

Patricia Williams

Patricia B. Williams, 98, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Andrew, South Carolina and had lived most of her life in Kingsport.
She was the daughter of the late John E. and Ellen Wright Barrineau.
In addition to her parents her husband, Julian E. Williams, M.D. and eight brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of the First Broad Street United Methodist Church in Kingsport.
She was a member of the First Broad Street United Methodist Church Women’s Circle Six, a 500 plus hours volunteer at the Holston Valley Medical Center Auxiliary and a member of the Kingsport Doctors Wives Club.
Survivors include: three sons, Robert J. Williams and his wife Patty of Memphis, Thomas E. Williams of South Carolina and James F. Williams and his wife Jana of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, James J. Williams, Justin F. Williams, J. Elizabeth Williams, Thomas J. Williams, Heather B. Williams, Lisa W. Williams and Todd J. Williams.
The funeral service for Mrs. Patricia B. Williams will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the First Broad Street United Methodist Church Chapel. Rev. Jack P. Weikel will officiate.
A service of entombment will follow in the Oak Hill Memorial Park in Kingsport.
The family will receive friends at the church from noon to 1 PM prior to the service.
The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Coalition For Kids, Inc., P. O. Box 3156, Johnson City, Tn. 37602.
