Lillie Tanner Creel, 75, of Georgetown, S.C. died Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Creel was born in the Pleasant Hill community of Georgetown Co. on December 1, 1937, a daughter of the late Willie Davis Tanner and Eva Mae Cribb Tanner.
She grew up in the Pleasant Hill community and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School.
Mrs. Creel moved to Georgetown as a young woman.
Surviving are a son, Dale Johnson of Conway, S.C.; two daughters, Brenda Humes (James) of Richmond, Va. and Linda Cusack of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Dorris Miller and Thelma Forbes, both of Georgetown; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon, December 24, 2012, at the graveside in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Officiating was the Rev. Kenneth M. Johnson.

James Edward Michael Gibbons, AKA “Gibon” of Pawleys Island, S.C. passed away December 20, 2012.
James was born in Philadelphia, Pa., May 8, 1939.
He had a great life in California where he met his wife Susan and they ultimately moved to Pawleys Island, S.C.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years, his best buddy, Sammi; one brother, Patrick; two special cousins and many loving nieces and nephews.
He loved his Forty Niners, golf, and his Irish music. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Memorials may be sent to Tidelands Hospice, where he was lovingly taken care of by Cat and Ashley.
A celebration of his life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the family home on December 29, 2012.
He is now one with the river.

Mary Eva (Guindon) Stanley, mother of Dr. Christine Gerber of Pawleys Island, S.C. passed away December 19, 2012 after a long illness.
Born near Barnesville, Ohio, she was married for 57 years to Wilmer W. Stanley of Columbiana, Ohio who pre-deceased her and resided with his daughter in Pawleys Island before his passing.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by three daughters, Christine (Randy) Gerber of South Carolina; Karen (Bill) Campf of Ohio; Darlene Stanley of North Carolina; her five grandchildren, Christopher Joseph, Jeremy, Christy, Megan and Jesse; two great-grandchildren, River and Raven; a brother, Wilford Guindon Hall of Costa Rica; and a sister, Sara L. (Guindon) Kirk of Ohio.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, Ohio with interment in the Middleton Friends Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given in her name to the St. Mary’s Alzheimer's Center, where she was a resident since 2003.
