Rochelle Anderson
Rochelle Anders, 81, of Nesmith, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 at Williamsburg Regional Hospital. The family is receiving friends at the residence.

Columbus Adderson
Columbus Adderson, 85, of the Plantersville community of Georgetown County, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston. He was a retired wood sorter at International Paper Co.

John W. MacKenzie
John William MacKenzie, 73, of Surfside Beach, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 at Conway Medical Center.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008 in St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Ray Carlo officiating.

Mr. MacKenzie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Rose MacKenzie of Surfside Beach; two daughters, Patricia MacKenzie of New York and Rosemary MacKenzie of LasFlores, Calif.; two grandchildren, Gregor Gillen of New York and Sasha Rauf of LasFlores, Calif; one brother, Alexander MacKenzie of Massachusetts; and one sister, Catherine Fish of Brooklyn, N.Y.

James B. Marsh
James Bernard "J.B." Marsh, 86, of Johnsonville, widower of Gwendolyn Baxley Marsh, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 at Marion County Medical Center.

Visitation was from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 prior to the service at the Marsh home in Johnsonville.
Mr. Marsh was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Johnsonville, a son of Wade Hampton Marsh and Annie Martha Eaddy Hampton. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion, and was a Methodist.
Surviving are: one daughter, Sheila P. Marsh of Johnsonville; and one sister, Ann Ruth Williams of Georgetown.

Bessie McGill, 91, of Nesmith, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008 a McLeod Hospice Facility. The family is receiving friends at the residence.

Esther M. "Tess" Poulin, 69, of Pawleys Island died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008 at her home.

Mrs. Poulin was born March 18, 1939 in Waterville, Maine, a daughter of the late Arthur Pellerin and Juliette St. Amand Pellerin.
Survivors include: her husband Roger L. Poulin; three sons, Michael G. Poulin (Melissa) of Murrells Inlet; Mark R. Poulin of Pawleys Island; Stephen J. Poulin (Robin) of Pawleys Island; three grandchildren, Aimee, Karlee, and Benjamin; sisters, Evangeline Bourassa and Ann Michand, both of Winslow, Maine; brothers Arthur Pellerin, Paul Pellerin and Robert Pellerin, all of Winslow, Maine, and Frederick Pellerin of Lewiston, Maine.

Harold L. Pyatt
Harold L. Pyatt, 43, of the Plantersville community of Georgetown County, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 in Georgetown.

Frankie E. Rogers
Frankie Eugene Rogers, 59, of Garden City Beach, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 in Ohio.

He was born in Latta, a son of the late Leo and Bernice Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a U.S. Army veteran. He served on the Surfside Beach City Council from 1994 to 1998. Mr. Rogers was an active member of Salkehatchie Ministries and was a member of Surfside Beach United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: two sons, Mark and Victor Rogers, both of Surfside Beach; one brother, Tommy Rogers of Surfside Beach; and two sisters, Linda Honeycutt of N. Wilkesboro, N.C., and Wanda Rogers of Surfside Beach.

Vickie Jo Rufas
Vickie Jo Rufas, 56, of the Yauhannah Lakes community of Georgetown County, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008.

Survivors include: a daughter, Ashley Rufas Beeson of Conway; a cousin, John Louder (Connie) of Northridge, Calif.; and a grandson, Gavin Beeson.
She was born Aug. 22, 1951 in Charlotte, N.C., a daughter of Mary Jo Huffstettler and Gus Angelo Rufas. Ms. Rufas graduated from Flowerbluff High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ms. Rufas retired in 2000 after working at Tamrock Kennels. She also volunteered at Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission.

Margie R. White
Margie Richardson White, 81, of New York, N.Y., died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008 at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 at Emanuel AME Church in New York, N.Y., under the direction of Wilds Funeral Home of Georgetown. Burial will follow at George Washington Cemetery in Paramus, N.J.
Ms. White was born in Georgetown on Aug. 19, 1927, a daughter of the late Willie Richardson and Celia Richardson. She attended Howard High School and St. Stephen AME Church. She was a retired laundress presser.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Carrie B. Parsons of Georgetown.
