Alison F. Burgess
Alison Ferrell Burgess, 46, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008 in the N.E. and Ruby Green Hospice House in Georgetown.
Ms. Burgess was born Aug. 29, 1961 in Williamsburg County, a daughter of Leonard B. Burgess and the late Betty McCollough Burgess. She was a graduate of Williamsburg Academy and Francis Marion University with a B.A. in Education. She was a former employee of the Bank of Greeleyville and was a member of Union Presbyterian Church.
Ms. Burgess was preceded in death by her mother.
Surviving, in addition to her father of Pawleys Island; her sister, Susan B. (Jack) Jordan of Loris; and her brother, Blake Burgess of Columbia;
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Greene. Burial will be in Williamsburg Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jimmie R. Wilcox
Jimmie Raye Wilcox, of Andrews, widow of Allen Dwight Wilcox, Sr., died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Memorial funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Gourdines Chapel. Officiating was Rev. T. J. Cribb. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, was private.

She was born May 22, 1939, in Lake City, a daughter of the late Raymond E. Fogle Sr. and the late Annie Laurie Blakely Fogle.
Mrs. Wilcox was a resident of the Warsaw community. She was a member of Gourdines Chapel where she had taught Sunday school. She was also a former member of Screven Baptist Church in Georgetown and was a long-time avid member of the Georgetown Gamecock Club.
Surviving are: three sons, Dee Wilcox of Springwater, N.Y., Kevin Wilcox (Meg) of Georgetown and Blakely Wilcox (Dawn) of Summerville; two sisters, Maudie F. Douglas of Winnsboro, Sandra F. Bryan of Andrews; one brother, Raymond E. Fogle Jr. of Orangeburg; eight grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Bernice Wilcox of Georgetown and a brother, Norman K. Wilcox (Happy Grimes) of Georgetown and a number of nieces and nephews.

Edward Huffman Jr.
Edward "Ted' Anthony Huffman Jr., of Murrells Inlet died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 in Waccamaw Community Hospital.
A funeral mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at St. Michael Catholic Church. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will be at at Goldfinch Funeral Home, today from 6 until 8 p.m.
