A 20 year old man escaped as he was attending a hearing at the Georgetown County Probation and Parole office on Screven Street this morning but was captured a short time later.
Franklin E. Grant, charged with breaking into a motor vehicle, was supposed to be attending a hearing for a violation related to his conditional release when he escaped, according to  Peter O’Boyle with the S.C. Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services.
Law enforcement searched the area from Screven Street to Willowbank before catching Grant.
Additional charges may be filed.
