Rebuttal to Obama concerns
This is in reference to the Letter to the Editor "concerns about Obama" from the voice of Andrews, Ms. Bonnie Wheeler dated Monday, June 22, 2009.
It appears that she has an insight and a knowledgeable source of information that eludes me and other non diehard Republicans. I am surprised that she did not blame Obama for everything that is wrong in this country and/or global cooling/warming.
Unlike Ms. Wheeler, I had no great love for President George W. Bush, but I respected him enough not to try and vilify and tell out and out un-truths about a sitting President.
I will not resort to name calling or questioning the validity of any and all of her accusations, because I do not agree with her.
I have not been able to find anywhere other than her letter, accusations of President Obama closing auto dealerships, forcing folks to leave their homes to seek proper medical care nor the President proclaiming that we are a Muslim nation.
I think all people of any religion should be shown basic respect and communicated with (if possible). As for the President and Sonya Sotomayor's plan to remove "In God We Trust" from American currency, it is such a blatant talk radio rant, as to be almost humorous.
Ms Wheeler, as you well know, you have your God given rights to like or dislike anyone you choose.
You do not have a God given right to distribute lies and/or half truths about anyone, least of all, a man that has been in office only six (6) months and he inherited a complete mess.
If you good conservatives would only be as considerate of other people and opposing ideas, we may be able to work together (as a team) to solve some of the many problems that affects us all.
Together we allowed things to get to this point and we can turn things around if we stop pointing fingers and assigning blame, falsely and otherwise.
I truly love this country and spent 9 years, one month and 24 days to protect your right to say and write what you believe, true or not.
I wish the newspapers were required to verify facts before printing articles in the Letters to the Editor.

Re: Sanderson
Mr. Sanderson pretends to offer solutions using specious arguments and name calling. He refuses to admit why his political heroes send their children to private school.
It's simple, Jamie, they want their children to get a good education, and they know it's available in private schools.
Your solution of higher taxes and government monopoly has been proven wrong.
Jamie believes liberals in charge will result in better schools. That's an easy one to debunk.
Just look at states run by liberals. Michigan and Louisiana come to mind.
Their government schools are doing a terrible job. Who would want to send a child to school in Detroit or New Orleans; only people with no choice.
Then he goes to spending. Jamie says if we spend more money we will have better schools. Lets look at Washington, D.C.
Their schools are run by liberals spending more per child than anywhere else in the nation. The result; failing schools. Liberals always want more money, and deliver ever worsening schools.
Jamie loves the class warfare. You know the mantra "Tax the rich, and give it to me. I deserve everything free."
He says we don't need a tax cut; because Obama gave us one. Really? Obama sent 300 dollars to millions of Americans who don't pay taxes. That's not a tax cut, it's welfare.
And yes, Jamie, I know the difference between you and daddy. There is no difference.
You both want bigger government, higher taxes for other people, and more control over our lives with union bosses in charge.
You demonize sucessful working famlies, and reward failure. That's your solution?
And finally dear readers; you know you have won the argument when your opponent starts calling you names. Jamie called me confused, delusional, demeaning, and uninformed.
Jamie you bore me.

When Barrack Obama, promised “change” no one questioned what he meant. We are now beginning to see those changes. This year, for the first time in 42 years, the yearly flyover to honor the spiritual foundations of our country and the men and women who serve in the armed forces, has been denied by the Pentagon The “God and Country Rally” is held each year to honor the spiritual foundations of our country with emphasis on the men and women who have served and those who are now serving in our military. This year’s rally would have included all five branches of our military with over 60 new recruits being sworn in. After a request for the reason for the denial, Rally Director Patti Syme,(director of “God and Country rally”) says they were informed by phone and e-mail that this was denied because of the “Christian” nature of the event. The Christian Defense Coalition says this is a “slap in the face” to all those who have proudly served or are currently on active duty in the armed services “Will the new policy of President Obama be that a person has to surrender their faith tradition to honor and pay tribute to our courageous men and women who serve in the military?” This should be a question that each and every American citizen should ask themselves regardless of party affiliation. This president has been one of many firsts: First president to refuse participation in the National Day of Prayer, first to object to honouring those who serve our country and the first to host a celebration in Washington for gays and lesbians. When this president promised “change” he wasn’t kidding! Bonnie Wheeler Andrews, S.C. (Bonnie Wheeler is a former Richmond County resident.) Posted by bonnie wheeler on 7/14/2009 |

response: This all started when banks were intimidated into lending money to those who could not repay. Bush didn't make those rules. Go back and study the 90s and the laws that were adopted then. I'd hate to be pulled by strings rather than speak my own mind. Whensoever you are a Democrat or Republican mouthpiece and/or a labor union shill, you are destined to be mocked by your opponents, loved by your kindred, but disregarded as a BUFFOON by the rank and file American citizen. Messrs Sanderson, Junior and Senior, the days of your LOCAL political influence are evaporating like dew drops at noon. You can join the common cause or not, but America is never going to go Socialist without kicking and screaming all the way. And my money will NEVER go against American will. BTW, Hello, Georgetown. I miss you guys. Posted by Tom Thomas on 7/12/2009 |

$16.1 million from the stimulus program is going to save the San Francisco Bay Area habitat of the salt marsh harvest mouse. Now someone tell me, do these bed wetting liberals don't know how to stimulate the economy or what? Pelosi is a genius! She needs a bonus and an even bigger plane. Jamie calls us the "regional right". He apparently did not hear the new poll that says Americans are becoming more conservative...gasp! Posted by on 7/9/2009 |

Lol when we have to pay the taxes on the Health insurance that alleged Stimulus check will be more than gone. Dont worry though we will get together and form a union to negotiate that and protect us. We all see how successful the unions have been lately. Posted by on 7/9/2009 |

Wait...I never got a stimulus check under Obama...are you referring to the $11 that was added to my check each week. I read last week that we will have to pay that back at tax time. Gotta love this prez! Jamie needs to really get over the partisan politics. Regardless of affiliation, this president's policies are not good for the citizens of this GREAT nation. His poll numbers are falling fast...people are finally waking up! THANK GOD! Posted by on 7/9/2009 |

Typical! When all else fails, blame Obama! (Ill bet you were one of the first to cash your stim. check when recieved, or did you refuse it!!LOL Posted by on 7/9/2009 |

Mr. Sanderson, my father, and my brother ALSO served in the military in order for you to have the same rights as Ms. Wheeler. Posted by Linda Dingle on 7/8/2009 |

Typical. When all else fails blame Bush. So far i have to say that the stim. bill is doing so well! lol. As for Sandersons opinions his record both politically and professionally speaks for itself. Posted by on 7/8/2009 |

Maybe Obama should consult Bush, after all the folks that caused the problem, may have an idea on how to correct it! (But we should have BIG doubts) Posted by on 7/8/2009 |

Obama is going to destroy America as we know it. The United States Senate stands in the way of what the Wall Street Journal calls "the biggest tax in American history." The Pelosi-led House of Representatives just strong-armed the so-called American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (also known as "Cap-and-Trade") through the House of Representatives. According to the Heritage Foundation, this massive "national energy tax" could cost the average family "nearly 3,000 per household per year." House Minority Leader John Boehner points out that it will "put millions of Americans out of work" as American jobs are shipped overseas or lost outright. Even President Obama admitted that under "Cap-and-Trade" legislation, "electricity rates would skyrocket." He could care less. Posted by Bonnie Wheeler on 7/7/2009 |

I truly worry about these people that are not the slightest concerned about the future of our country. Barack Obama is destroying what the USA stands for. For those that know more about MJ's death than the cap and trade bill, please do your homework. This is a tax increase without the title. Obama calls it a climate bill...there is a video on you tube of Obama stating that this bill will NECESSARILY make your electricity bill SKYROCKET! The Main Stream Media has left that off the news. Please google this bill and voice your opinion. We must stand up to BIG government and take back what is ours! It has already passed the house, the senate is next! Contact Lindsay Graham and Jim Demint and tell them to vote no! Posted by on 7/7/2009 |

Jamie, I don't post opinions I post facts that have been verified by reputable sources and I keep a record of those sources. Keep that in mind when you try to contradict my statements. Mr. Brewington, who did not do his homework, should do the same. Posted by Bonnie on 7/5/2009 |

To you an the rest of the Regional Right, it's truth. To America, it's a lie. The dots end with that, Bonnie. Posted by Jamie Sanderson on 7/5/2009 |

Um, FALSE. There's really not much else to say... Sorry, you believe too much in the Right's smear campaign. Posted by Jamie Sanderson on 7/4/2009 |

Jamie, I posted before I checked out the website that you recommended. This has nothing to do with Obama. It began circling the internet before he was ever heard of so I don't get your meaning here. Please connect the dots for us Posted by Bonnie Wheeler on 7/4/2009 |

Jamie, You know as well as I that those coins were printed by mistake. They corrected it immediately. Here is the real story: "The U.S. Mint said Wednesday that thousands of new George Washington dollar coins were mistakenly struck without their edge inscriptions, including 'In God We Trust'." The coins somehow made it past mint inspectors and were released into public circulation on February 15. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/new-dollar-coins-printed-without-in-god-we-trust.html Is there anything else that I can explain to you? Posted by Bonnie Wheeler on 7/3/2009 |

Gee, Bonnie. I found one of your statements to be WRONG in less than a second. Looks to me Mr. Brewington got it all right. http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/dollarcoin.asp Posted by Jamie Sanderson on 7/3/2009 |

I can assure Mr. Brewington each fact was thoroughly searched. Most facts that everyone is already aware of, everyone but Mr. Brewington, that is Posted by Bonnie Wheeler on 7/3/2009 |
