Prom season will soon be here and Georgetown County’s four high schools have released their prom dates and locations:
• The Andrews High prom will take place from 7 p.m. - midnight, April 12 at Lakewood Campground Conference Center in Surfside Beach.
• Carvers Bay High will hold its prom from 8 p.m. - midnight on March 29 at the Clarion Inn at the former Waccamaw Pottery.
• Georgetown High will hold its prom from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. on April 13 in the school’s Commons Area.
• Waccamaw High will also hold its prom April 13 from 7 p.m. - midnight at Heritage Plantation Clubhouse in Pawleys Island.

The National Transportation Safety Board is recommending lowering the legal blood alcohol content limit for drivers from .08 percent to .05 percent. They say it will decrease the number of traffic fatalities. Do you agree with this idea?
