Based on the National Weather Service issuing a hurricane watch for Horry County and the most recent advisory from Horry County Emergency Management, Hard Rock Park will be closed Friday, Sept. 5, through Sunday, Sept. 7.

Hard Rock Park has enacted its Hurricane Preparedness Plan today, making necessary preparations for Tropical Storm Hanna. Necessary precautionary actions include securing all electronics and storing furniture and ride vehicles in order to secure against potential high winds and heavy rain.

All Hard Rock Park's permanent structures, including all rollercoasters and the Live Amphitheater, are engineered to Horry County building codes to withstand 130 mph winds. Once the storm clears, a safety inspection will be performed and business recovery will commence.
