'Always a Praise': Endtimers release new CD

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Let us look forward to great and good things happening in our lives today as we trust in the Lord. He can bring only good things to pass. So cheer up, look up and receive blessings!
Trinity Anniversary
The ushers of Trinity AME Church in the Pee Dee community celebrated their fourth anniversary on Sunday, June 22, at 4 p.m. with Sister Tabitha Hicks presiding. Others on program were sisters Alissya Tucker, Theotha Goss, Jacqueline Goss, brother Quadé Goss and yours truly. The special guest speaker was the Rev. Dr. Joseph E. Jones, pastor of Bethel AME Church, Georgetown. The Rev. Jones spoke from Colossians 3:23-24, and his subject was "Who Are You Working for?" The sermon was timely and well-received. The ushers performed the "Usher's Strut" and refreshments were served. Sister Jacqueline Goss is president and Brother James Stewart is vice president. The Rev. Herman Ford Jr. is pastor.
Sweet Ministers
Norman Sweet, former radio personality of the now-defunct radio station WVBX, brought the morning message at Trinity AME Church on Sunday, June 22, at 11 a.m.
He spoke from Judges 11:1-2 and his subject was "Purpose, Calling and Walking with the Lord." His teachings were well-received and the program was followed as outlined. The Rev. Herman Ford Jr. is the pastor.
Lily of the Valley
Lanes Creek Lodge No. 406 P.H.A and Lily of the Valley No. 352 O.E.S presented "Colors within the Star" Saturday, June 21, at 6 p.m. at Mt. Sinai-Bessellieu-Davis Christian Center with Brother Randy Gamble as organist. Others on program were Deacon Moses Gethers presiding with brothers David Williams, David Wragg, John Geathers, Alden Holmes, the Rev. Herman Ford Jr, the Rev. Carl Anderson, J. Linnen and sisters Inell Simmons, Sandra Holmes, Lucretra Enoch, Sylvia Linnen, Carol Gamble and M.J. Holmes. The special guest speaker was the Rev. Dr. Juenarll Keith, presiding elder of the Orangeburg District. The Rev. Dr. Howard D. Davis is the pastor.
Deep Revelation
Apostle Ervin Hicks and Prophetess Ruth Hicks, better known as the Endtimers, have done it again. The pastors of Deep Revelation Apostolic Tabernacle of Deliverance Church have just recorded a new CD that's gaining listeners at a fantastic ordained speed. The CD is called "Always a Praise" and the first cut is appropriately entitled "Always a Praise." The words to all of the songs have been written by the talented couple, and Prophetess Ruth provides the music. The prophetess says she is so grateful to be used of God and dedicates herself all to his service. Although the couple has appeared on the Bobby Jones Gospel program, and recently performed with Vicky Winans, and received a special award from gospel great, Luther Barnes, they still remain humble, only wanting to do the work of the Lord. Prophetess Ruth is especially pleased that her two sons, Elder Woodrow Nesbit Jr. and brother Gregory Nesbit, have served as recording engineer and audio engineer, respectively. Book signing

The Lord has blessed me to write a book of poems, Gullah and other things, called "Empowered by the Spirit." Hopefully I'll see you at the book signing on Saturday at Harborwalk Bookstore on Front Street from noon until 2 p.m.
Remember to pray for the sick and shut in, the bereaved, those in nursing homes, the elderly, our men and women on the battlefield in Iraq, those facing dire decisions and for each other. Have a blessed week!
