Firefighters raising funds to send burn victim children to camp

Published on 3/17/2013

If you see a Georgetown County firefighter wearing green, it is not a continuation of St. Patrick's Day fashion. It is for a good cause.
The shirts are being sold as a fundraiser so that child burn victims can attend Camp Can Do, which is a camp for children and teenagers who have been treated for serous burns.
Firefighters had collected $1,200 as of last week but more is needed.
Anyone who wishes to make a contribution can do so stopping by any county fire station or by mailing the donation to Georgetown County Administration, Attn. Jackie Broach, 716 Prince Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
