Erin Watkins and Joseph Allen Rader

Erin Ruth Watkins of Aiken and Joseph Allen Rader of Georgetown were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Vaucluse.

Performing the 6 p.m. ceremony was the Rev. Michael W. Timmerman.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Watkins of Aiken.
 
She is the granddaughter of Carol Brantley of Graniteville, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Watkins of Aiken and the late Belton L. Garvin Sr. and Alice Weeks of Jacksonville, Fla.

She will graduate this year from Columbia College with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

The groom is the son of Bobby Rader of Georgetown and the late Mrs. Deanna Young Avant of Georgetown. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Young of Georgetown and William Rader of Georgetown and the late Mrs. Ruby Howard Rader. He will graduate this year from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple is living in Columbia.
Serving as maid of honor was Allison Lord.

Bridesmaids were Holley Watkins, Caroline Watkins, Jordan Ruppe and Julie Terrell. Flower girl was Jessica June Adams.

Serving as best man was the groom’s father.

Groomsmen were Robbie Rader, David Clark, Gregory Thompkins and Brandon Watkins.

Ringbearer was Daylon Brown.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church.
