Duck calling finals return to Georgetown

The South Carolina State Duck Calling contest will be held March 4 at Waterfront Park in Georgetown during the annual Winyah Bay Heritage Festival.

Contests begin at noon with the Champion of Champions, which is open to all previous winners.

The S.C. Open Junior contest is open to any caller 16 or under as of the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2012.

The final event is the S.C. State Duck Calling Contest, which is open to all residents age 17 and older as of the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2012.

The state winner must represent South Carolina in the World Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Ark.
