DHEC sets flu clinics in area

CONWAY - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control's Region 6 Public Health Services, which serves Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties, will hold appointment-only influenza vaccination clinics on Oct. 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, 30 in Horry County; Oct. 13, 20, 27 in Georgetown County and Oct. 16, 23, 30 in Williamsburg County.

Residents who want to reduce their risk of flu should call for an appointment. Clinics will be conducted by appointment to reduce the likelihood of waiting.

There is a $25 charge for the vaccination, which Medicare Part B and Medicaid will cover for those who are eligible. Cash or check payment also will be accepted. Please do not let cost prevent you from seeking your flu shot. Ask how DHEC how they can help.

The DHEC flu shot clinics will be held in Horry County:

CONWAY

Oct. 15 and 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Oct. 22 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
