Is petition candidate Mike Andrews withdrawing from the race for Georgetown County Treasurer?
Rumors began circulating Tuesday that he has decided not to run for the seat but, as of now, he is not commenting.
When contacted by the Georgetown Times Wednesday morning, Andrews said more information would be revealed later this week.
“I will be putting out a press release in a day or two,” Andrews said. “I will let the press release handle it.”
The only other person running for the seat is Democrat incumbent Lorretta Washington-Cooper.
