Carvers Bay keeps winning

Carvers Bay won its seventh straight game last week, 32-7 over Hemingway.
"So far, so good," said Bears coach James "Nate" Thompson. "Our kids were just motivated. They really got after it."
Da'Shaun Aiken scored two touchdowns in the first half on runs of 6 yards and 1 yard to give the Bears a 12-0 lead at halftime.
Aiken then hit Shaquan Durrand with a 40-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 18-0.
After Hemingway cut the lead to 18-7, Shayton Durrand caught a 46-yard touchdown pass and Aiken got his third rushing touchdown of the game for the 32-7 final.
Aiken passed for 161 yards, rushed for 31 yards and punted for 98 yards.
"Da'Shaun Aiken had a very good night," Thompson said.
Devin Cuttino was the leading rusher for the Bears with 65 yards. Isreal Davis had 51 yards, and Raheem Dease added 21.
Shaquan Durrand was the leading receiver with 81 yards. Shayton Durrand had 68 yards.
Davin Young led the Carvers Bay defense with 10 tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
Shaquan Durrand had 10 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery; Oneil Johnson had 10 tackles; DaQuan Wilson had nine tackles and an interception; Shaun Lawrence had seven tackles and one forced fumble; and Stefan Hannah had seven tackles.
Carvers Bay (7-1) hosts East Clarendon (4-4) on Friday night and wraps up the regular season hosting Timmonsville (7-1) on Oct. 26.
"We've got some injuries we're trying to heal from," Thompson said. "And we're trying to keep pace with Timmonsville."
