Carvers Bay's boys basketball team bounced back from a loss at Johnsonville with a 72-44 win over Green Sea-Floyds last week.

"I'm proud of the seniors, they really showed up to play," coach Jeff Mezzatesta said. "I loved the way the kids played with a smile on their faces."

It was the last regular season home game for Teondre Bromell, Rayshod Pittman, Leshon Morris and Sinclair Geathers.

"I'm going to miss those seniors," Mezzatesta said. "I've coached them since fifth-grade camps. They're like sons to me."

Carvers Bay started quickly against Green Sea-Floyds, jumping out to a 7-0 lead and extending it to 20-4 by the end of the first quarter.

The Trojans rallied in the second quarter to cut the lead to 38-30 at the half.

The Bears dominated the second half, outscoring the Trojans 34-14.
