Bears, Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets all win

Carvers Bay dominated Scott's Branch 42-8 last week for its sixth straight win after an opening game loss.
The Bears got two touchdowns in the first quarter on a 4-yard run by Devin Cuttino and a 40-yard punt return by Da'Shaun Aiken.
Cuttino (25 yards), Israel Davis (4 yards) and Aiken (1 yard) all ran for touchdowns in the second quarter to give the Bears a 35-0 lead at halftime.
Aiken hit Daquan Wilson with a 30-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to wrap up the scoring for Carvers Bay.
Scott's Branch cut the lead to 42-8 with a 10-yard touchdown run in the third.
Cuttino had 146 yards to lead the Bears. Davis had 92 and Raheem Dease added 39.
Aiken was 4-for-8 passing for 100 yards. Shayton Durand had 70 yards and Wilson had 30.
Desmond Sumpter led the Carvers Bay defense with two interceptions. Shawn Lawrence had nine tackles, Stefan Hannah had six, and Naquez Pringle had five tackles and recovered a fumble.
Carvers Bay (6-1) travels to Hemingway (3-4) on Friday night.

Alvin Walker and Chris Gamble each caught two Caleb Hughes touchdown passes to lead Georgetown High to a 34-7 win over North Myrtle Beach last week.
The win kept the Bulldogs undefeated in Region VII and sets up a showdown on Friday night in Socastee, which is 7-0.
Two Josh Huneault field goals gave Georgetown a 6-0 lead in the first quarter.
Hughes then threw touchdowns to Walker (9 yards and 36 yards) and Gamble (13 yards) in the second quarter to extend the lead to 27-0 at halftime.
Gamble caught a 40-yard touchdown pass with 5:29 left in the third quarter for the 34-0 lead.
North Myrtle Beach put together a 10-play, 63-yard drive in the fourth quarter for their only touchdown of the game.
Hughes was 17-for-23 passing for 194 yards. Walker was the leading receiver with 84 yards. Gamble had 53 yards, and Tarik Tucker had 49.
Julian Lunsford was the leading rusher for Georgetown with 51 yards. Michael Billings added 29.
Jordan Ward led the Bulldogs defense with 17 tackles and half a sack. Dominick Wigfall had 15 tackles and two-and-a-half sacks; Anthony Blair had eight tackles and one-and-a-half sacks; Keith Collins had eight tackles; Denzell Archie had seven tackles and a forced fumble; Leon Ford and Justin Waring had seven tackles and a half sack each; Gerald German had seven tackles.

Ethan Wright ran for a touchdown and threw for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to help Andrews hold off Kingstree 27-12 last week.
Jaleel Filmore got the Yellow Jackets on the board first with a 3-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Andrews clung to the 7-0 lead until Patrick Ward picked up a fumble and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown less than a minute into the second half.
After Kingstree cut the lead to 14-7 in the third quarter, Wright ran it in from 1 yard out and hit Josh Robinson with a 7-yard pass to extend the lead to 27-7. Kingstree added a score with 1:19 left for the 27-12 final.
Filmore led the Andrews offense with 173 yards rushing. Wright had 89 rushing yards and 19 passing yards.
Johnel Grant led the Andrews defense with 11 tackles. Quandre Green had 10 tackles, Filmore, Ward, Toryan Washington and Jordan Cantley had six each, and Colton Fulton had five.
Andrews (2-5) travels to Lake City (1-6) on Friday night.
