More than 85 runners and walkers competed in the St. Patrick’s Day Four-Miler Run and Walk, in Pawleys Island on March 16, and helped establish scholarship funding for young athletes.
Proceeds were used to provide local high school athletes scholarships to a summer strength and conditioning camp offered for students ages 12 to 18 by HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness.
The eight-week summer speed, agility and balance program begins June 11, and includes once-a-week beach training on Pawleys Island focusing on speed, footwork and conditioning..
For more information on the camp, call David Nelson or Brad Gilkeson at 237-2205.
