Harrison Richmond of Pawleys Island is in Australia competing in the Australian Open Junior Championships. Richmond is a senior at Waccamaw High School.

He is one of 10 Americans competing for the junior title.
Qualifying began Thursday and the tournament starts Sunday.
Richmond was named a National High School Tennis All-American in May and signed a scholarship to play at the University of Virginia in November.
Three Americans - Donald Young (2005), Andy Roddick (2000) and Kim Kessaris (1989) - have captured Australian Open junior singles titles since 1968.
The last American to reach the junior singles final was Madison Brengle in 2007.
