The Times received numerous calls about police activity taking place in the Greentown Community around 10 a.m. today.
Assistant Sheriff Carter Weaver said there was a burglary in progress on Lincolnshire Road.
Sgt. Neil Johnson said the first deputy was responding to an alarm activation and when he opened the door to the home he was encountered by two males wearing masks.
He immediately called for backup and the two ran away.
After other officers arrived, the two were found in the neighborhood and, after a foot pursuit, they were arrested.
Their names have not been released.
no name released : 6/2/2009
why can't their names be released ? if the law arrested them with a mask trying to cover their real identity, surely they are not afraid of arresting the wrong person!
