Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after an accident involving four vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, on Highway 701 in front of the former Ryan’s restaurant Thursday morning. Georgetown Police Capt. Nelson Brown said the blue car (pictured) was northbound when the driver switched lanes, hit another vehicle, then drove into oncoming traffic. This caused the 18-wheeler and another vehicle to collide. The driver and passenger in the blue car were injured and had to be cut from the vehicle. The accident is still under investigation.
