Tidelands Community Hospice of Georgetown has located to Kingstree. The Hospice center is located at 205 Martin Luther King Blvd. by the Bank of Greeleyville. Hospice has been serving patients in Williamsburg County for several years but the new center will provide a physical presence in order to take care of local resident’s needs.
Tidelands Hospice cares for terminally ill patients, regardless of diagnosis, age, race, nationality, physical capabilities and/or reimbursement source (once a physician has determined hospice care to be approved). It provides comfort and care for people with serious illnesses and support to the families through education about symptom management, pain control and the grief process.
Tidelands Hospice serves patients in their homes as well as in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties. The Kingstree office is currently staffed with an on-call chaplain and home health aids but is in need of volunteers.
