Warehouse fire may have been set by homeless person

Georgetown City firefighters responded to the scene of a structure fire this morning.
The fire was reported at about 7 a.m. on Ridge Street, which is an industrial area off of Highmarket Street.
The first crews on the scene reported smoke coming from a large "abandoned" warehouse, according to reports from the scene.
Firefighters found it was a large pile of debris that was burning and was believed to have been set by someone trying to keep warm.
Police advised firefighters homeless people are known to use the warehouse for shelter.
By 7:15 a.m., the fire was extinguished.
