A man is on the run after robbing the Murrells Inlet CVS store at about 12:25 a.m.  today.
But, it was not money the man was after. It was prescription drugs.
According to a Sheriff’s Office report, a deputy on patrol saw a female worker of the store looking out the door. He stopped and was told the store had just been robbed.
The woman said the man  — wearing a black mask and black clothing — ran in and pointed a gun at the pharmacist.
The pharmacist said the robber handed him a brown bag and demeaned that he fill it with Oxycontin and Oxycodone.
The victim said the man also ordered him to remove any of the drugs that were in the safe.
None of the workers knew if the man fled on foot or in a vehicle.
They said the whole ordeal lasted about five minutes.
