Police blotter: Pepsi can as a weapon

Deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 3300 block of South Fraser Street Jan. 28.
A man said he and his wife were arguing about the cleanliness of the house when she picked up a Pepsi can and threw it at him. The man was able to dodge the flying can and it struck the wall.
The woman then stated scratching her husband on the face, the report states, causing some minor bleeding.
The woman says her husband placed his hands around her neck in an attempt to choke her during the altercation.
It was determined the woman was the “primary aggressor” so she was arrested for criminal domestic violence.

Theft from inmate boyfriend

A man filed a report Jan. 27 claiming his ex-girlfriend stole money from his bank account while he was incarcerated at the County Detention Center.
The man said he was in jail for about three weeks starting in mid-May. He said during that time the woman wrote a $3,300 check to herself from his account without permission.
The man said he does not want to press charges. He only wants the money to be repaid.

Unruly teen

A Plantesville woman called deputies Jan. 27 because her 14-year-old daughter “was out of control and not listening to her,” the report states.
She said her daughter was supposed to be on restriction for getting suspended from school. She said the teen got mad and started throwing items in the house.
A report was filed to be used in court.

Shoplifter caught on tape
Wal Mart security personnel called police Jan 22 after spotting a shoplifter while reviewing security camera footage.
The theft occurred Dec. 7 when a suspect placed a case of beer and bag of dog food in the cart and then walks out the door with the merchandise without paying.
As of the time the report was written the suspect had not been identified.

Burglaries and break-ins

• Jan. 27, Drunken Jack’s Restaurant, Murrells Inlet
Taken: Two cases of Bud Light
Note: The suspect was caught on the security camera but was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a mask.
• Jan. 17, Frank’s Outback in Pawleys Island.
Taken: Beer, two bottles of liquor and an ice bucket
Note: Surveillance footage shows the man riding up on a bicycle. He had a piece of clothing over his head.
• Jan. 15, 9900 block of County Line Road in Andrews
Taken: Copper tubing from water heater, HVAC unit.
Note: The house was vacant and the burglary was discovered by a real estate agent.
• Jan. 15, the 1900 block of Seitter Drive.
Taken: DVR and CD player system
Note: The burglary occurred in a pool house. The owner said her son lives there and has friends over from time to time.
• Jan. 15, in the 8100 block of North Fraser Street
Taken: laptop computer, DVD player, television, Wii game system, several family photos.
• Jan. 15, in the 300 block of Tiller Drive, Pawleys Island.
Taken: Four deep sea fishing rods
Note: The owner’s security cameras caught a man breaking the locks off of two sheds and taking the rods. The report states the suspect appeared to be intoxicated.
• Jan. 24, the 13100 block of Gapway Road
Taken: A four wheeler and a motorcycle
Note: A cut lock was found on the ground near the shed where the burglary occurred.
