The following reports were collected  from local law enforcement offices:

“Sexual preference” fight

Police were called to Georgetown High because of a fight involving four females Nov. 11.
The report indicates the fight was provoked by “sexual preference.”
Two of the suspects are sisters and the other two are also sisters.
A school official said the fight near the main entrance was the result of an incident that had occurred earlier in the day.
The fight initially involved two students but their respective sisters jumped in causing the situation to escalate.
The fight was broken up by staff members and the students were taken to the office.
All four have been recommended for expulsion.

Bus-riding thrower
A Pawleys Island man stopped by the Georgetown Police Department to report a vandalism to his car.
The man said he was driving in the 2500 block of Highmarket Street when someone threw  an object from a passing school bus.
The object struck his car, the man said.
Police said they did not see any damage but the man wanted a report on file.

Upset woman

A 41-year-old man said his wife walked into his workplace on South Fraser Street Nov. 9 and started cursing at him  because  he had asked for a divorce.
The woman reportedly said “I’ll see you pay the price. I hate you and hope you die.”
After the woman left, she reportedly called  her husband’s phone 38 times within 15 minutes.
The man showed police his phone that actually recorded 51 calls from his wife that day.

Disorderly bank customer

Warrants were served recently on a 60-year-old man who reportedly caused problems at Wachovia Bank on Front Street.
The man was allegedly intoxicated when he drove up to the drive through window.
In the presence of an officer who was at the bank, the man started yelling at the teller.
When the officer walked up to the man’s car, he saw an open can of beer next to him. He was removed  from the vehicle and was placed in handcuffs.
It was also learned his license  had been suspended for several years.

Stolen liquor

The owner of Tupacz Liquor Store called police Nov. 13 to report a theft.
He said an unknown person walked in the store and stole a bottle of liquor valued at $5.50.
He said he discovered the bottle missing during inventory and reviewed the security camera tape.
He saw two men walk in the store. One of them placed the bottle in his pants while the other paid for some other items.

Forgery
The caregiver for an elderly Georgetown resident called police to report someone has been forging the woman’s name on her pension checks and has been cashing them.
They have also been placing the woman’s driver’s license number on the checks.
This has been going on since  Dec. 2007.
A total of more than $14,400 has been taken.
Police say it’s unknown who has been stealing the checks but they think it may be someone from the pace where they were cashed because they have all been cashed at the same location.
