Two Andrews men said they received threats over their CB radios Jan. 15 by a man they know.
The victims, who are brothers, said the suspect told them via CB he was going to shoot one of them with his Smith and Wesson.
He told the other man he was going to “burn down his house with his family in it and nail his feet to the floor,” the report states.
The victims said they will pursue charges.
School worker threatened
An employee of Georgetown Middle School said she received a threatening telephone call while at work Jan. 15.
She said the male caller said he was going to kill her and her family. He identified himself as “Jigsaw Kid.”
The woman said she has a hunch the caller was a teenager who used to attend her church but left on “bad terms,” the report states.
Damaged freezer
An employee of 811 Steak and Pasta in Pawleys Island walked outside the restaurant Jan. 18 and saw three men near the freezer. They were in the process of trying to remove the compressor from the unit. They had already cut through the wires by the time they were caught and were in the process of sawing through a pipe.
When confronted, one of the suspects said they were told by the owner to get the compressor but were informed the man they named as the owner was no longer associated with the business.
The trio then jumped in their vehicle and sped away.
Damage to the freezer is estimated at $3,000.
Dead bird in mailbox
A woman from Tyson Drive in Pawleys Island reported finding a dead bird in her mailbox Jan. 15.
The woman said she is going through a divorce and believes the dead bird was placed in the mailbox by her husband or his family.
Parking lot urination
While on patrol Jan. 16, a deputy drove up to the Kangaroo convenience store and saw a man “using the parking lot as a bathroom,” the report states.
The 37-year-old man — who appeared to be intoxicated — told the deputy he was waiting for a friend to pick him up.
He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Unruly student
The driver of a school bus met with a deputy Jan. 14 because of a 16-year-old Carvers Bay High student causing problems.
He said the student got out of his seat and told the male driver he was going to kick his rear end while walking towards him in a threatening manner.
It was the second time since August the same student made a threat towards the driver.
The teen was charged with simple assault and was released to his grandfather.
Doctor assaulted
A doctor at Waccamaw Community Hospital said she was assaulted by a 42-year-old male patient Jan. 19.
The man who was allegedly intoxicated became violent so the doctor with the help of several other staff members tried to place him in restraints. That’s when the patient grabbed the doctor’s arm and pulled her towards him then kicked her on the face.
After the man was restrained, the doctor saw her smock was ripped and noticed her right arm was hurting.
The man was arrested for assault and battery on a health care professional.
Unauthorized dating ad
A 38-year-old Georgetown man said he was shocked when he found out someone had used his name in a “men seeking men” personal ad on Craigslist. The man’s phone number was also placed in the ad without his permission.
The victim said he had no idea the ad had been placed until he received a text from a man who said “I want you. I saw your post.”
The victim said he has a hunch the ad was placed by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.
Daughter attacks mom
A woman from Rosemary Avenue in Andrews said she was attacked by her 18-year-old daughter Jan. 14.
The older woman said she has been having problems with her daughter for quite a while.
On the day police were called, the two were in a profanity-laced argument when the suspect started hitting her mother with her fist.
The victim said she had to take her daughter to the floor to keep her from hitting her anymore.
She said she wants her daughter removed from the house.
