A 30-year-old Surfside Beach man was arrested for causing a disturbance at Waccamaw Community Hospital Oct. 26.
While the man was at the hospital emergency room, he was yelling and cursing at nurses, according to witnesses.
After being cleared medically, the man was ordered by a deputy to leave and not return or he would be arrested.
A short while later, the man — who, according to the report, was on drugs and/or alcohol — went back inside the hospital.
The deputy returned and placed him under arrest for disorderly conduct and trespassing.
Wants to kill uncle
A 15-year-old from the Carvers Bay area was taken for evaluation last week after admitting he wants to hurt people.
A deputy met with the teen who said he felt like killing someone. When asked if wanted to harm himself, he said no.
“I really want to kill my uncle. He gets on my nerves,” he reportedly said.
Because of the nature of the statements, the teen was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Not her grandson
A 73-year-old Pawleys Island woman filed a harassment report with the Sheriff’s Office Oct. 29.
The woman said she received a call from someone claiming to be her 8-year-old grandson.
“The victim says the caller would say the grandson’s name and then would not say anything else,” the report states.
The woman said she knows it was not her grandson because it sounded like an older male on the phone.
She said she had a similar call about a month prior.
The call originated in Los Angeles.
