Too drunk for PIN

A cab driver called 911 Dec. 29 because a 37-year-old man from Arkansas was unable to pay the $60 fare he owed.
The man was driven from the Gold Club in Myrtle Beach to Wachesaw Plantation but only had $10 in cash to pay.
The Diamond Cab driver said the man attempted to pay the other $50 with a credit card but was too intoxicated to enter his PIN.
When  a deputy told the man to verbally give the driver the PIN so he could enter it for him, the man refused.
The man was going to his parent’s house but said he would go to jail before he asked them for money.
So, he was arrested for petit larceny.

Motel 6 vandalism

A window to a room at Motel 6 in Pawleys Island was broken by a 54-year-old man from Pineville, S.C. New Year’s Day.
The man’s girlfriend was still on the scene when a deputy arrived.
She said she and her boyfriend got into an argument so she locked him out of the room “so the argument would not escalate,” the report states.
The man then punched the window, causing it to break. He then fled the scene in his vehicle.
A manager said if the man pays the $450 bill to pay for the damage, he would not be prosecuted.

Attack at CVS

A 45-year-old Murrells Inlet man says he was attacked when he exited the CVS on Highway 17 Bypass Dec. 28.
The victim said he knows the man who attacked him and when he walked out of the store he tried to avoid him. The 46-year-old suspect — also from Murrells Inlet — allegedly punched the victim in the face two or three times.
The victim fought back by punching the suspect in the face and ripping his shirt off as the older man tried running away.
The suspect then pulled out a knife and said “I am going to kill you.” The victim ran and jumped in his friend’s car while the suspect’s girlfriend tried to get the suspect to stop.
The man then ran to the car the victim was in and tried to attack him again, but the victim was able to use a cane to keep him away.
The victim said he did want to press charges.
