Patricia Cribb


Patricia Campbell Cribb, born October 5, 1939, in Kings Mountain, N.C. died March 7, 2012, in Union, S.C. of complications from pulmonary disease.
In 1944, the Campbell family settled in Georgetown, S.C. where Patricia graduated from Winyah High School (1957) and served as captain of the Color Guard.  
She was Beauty Queen with many titles including Miss Georgetown and Miss South Carolina Timber Festival.
Patricia wanted to be most remembered for the outstanding wife and mother she was, but she also was an accomplished business woman.
After marrying in 1957, she and husband John established a retail clothing store in Georgetown which she managed.
They moved to Dallas, Texas in 1966 where she worked for Dallas Power & Light and Dillard’s.
Upon returning to Georgetown in 1994 she started Miss Emma Jane’s, a tea room and gift shop that is still remembered as a local favorite today.
She was an active, caring pastor’s wife and Realtor with Keller Williams, Spartanburg at the time of her death.
Patricia is survived by husband Rev. John Cribb of Union; sons, John Cribb of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Wesley Cribb and family Eileen, Joshua, Zeny, Emma Grace and Presley of Keller, Texas; sisters, Betty Megard of Denver, N.C., Peggy Lewis of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Helen Wynn of Georgetown; a brother, Lamar Campbell of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Sardis United Methodist Church, Union, on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2 p.m.
The family will receive visitors in the sanctuary following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to Heartland Hospice Services, 421 SE Main Street, Suite 100, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
