Nancy Kirby Anderson
Ms. Nancy Kirby Anderson, 65, of Murrells Inlet, died Tuesday June 16, 2009 in a Murrells Inlet hospital.
Ms. Anderson was born in Williamsburg County, a daughter of Trezzie Kirby and Jessie Price Kirby. She was educated in Williamsburg County schools and was a self-employed caregiver. She attended Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church. Ms. Anderson was preceded in death by her first husband, Elvin D. McClary.
Survivors: 1 son, Davy (Joanna) McClary of Florence; 1 daughter, Jessica Denise Stephens of Murrells Inlet; 1 grandchild on the way; 3 sisters, Sara Michael and Sybil Burrows, both of Murrells Inlet and Donna Kirby of Kingstree; 1 brother, Terry Kirby of Richmond, KY; her former husband, Gary M. Anderson of Murrells Inlet; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday June 19, 2009 in the Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow in McClary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Williamsburg Funeral Home from 7-9 PM Thursday.
The family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
Edith Carr
Edith Carr, 60, of Murrells Inlet, SC died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, S.C.
Services will be Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at Touching Heaven Changing Earth with Pastor Buck Browder officiating. She will be placed in state Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Carr, a daughter of the late Rev. Jake Small Sr. and Earlene Robinson, was born February 7, 1949 in Murrells Inlet, SC. She received her education in the Georgetown County public schools and was a former member of Gordon Chapel AME Church and later became a member of Touching Heaven Changing Earth Ministry.
Surviving are: her husband, Benjamin Carr Sr. of Pawleys Island, S.C.; her children, E-6 USAF, Myshante Walker of Goose Creek, S.C., E-6 USAN, Benjamin Carr Jr. of Norfolk, Va., and Ashtin Alston of Pawleys Island, S.C., Gail Alston of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; six sisters, Barbara Brave, Sylvester Singleton of Texas, Angeline Moore of New York, Jake Smalls Jr. of New York, Betty Fraser and Rainey Fraser of Pawleys Island, S.C.; five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Robert J. Flowers
Robert James Flowers, 59, of Andrews, died Thursday, June 11, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Flowers was born in Andrews on December 20, 1949, a son of the late Robert Manning Flowers and Leola Howard Flowers.
He lived all his life in the Andrews area and was a former employee of Georgetown Textiles and Georgetown Steel. Mr. Flowers had been disabled since 1971. He was a member of Andrews Church of God and Woodman of the World Post #1157. Mr. Flowers was an avid University of South Carolina Gamecock fan.
Surviving are: a brother, Bruce J. (Sandy) Flowers of Andrews; a sister, Kathy F. (Tim) Bodiford of Hartsville; three nephews, Brian R. Flowers and Jamie L. Flowers, both of Andrews, and T. Andrew Bodiford of Hartsville; and a niece, Kelli N. Bodiford of Hartsville.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, June 19, 2009, at Andrews Church of God. Officiating will be the Rev. Edward A. Hardee and the Rev. Wayne Cox. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.

Norma H. Green
Mrs. Norma Holmes Green, 73, of Andrews, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon AME Church in Andrews with Rev. Virgil Hammett, officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery, under the direction of McKnight-Fraser Funeral Home.
Mrs. Green, daughter of the late Christopher and Gertrude Holmes, was born November 2, 1935 in Andrews, SC. She was a member of St. Andrews AME Church.
Survivors are: two daughters, Gwendolyn Green and Cynthia Green of Andrews, SC; one son, Kevin Green of Andrews, SC; one brother, Lawrence Holmes, Jersey City. NJ; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Douglas B. Langley
Douglas Brailsford "Doug" Langley, 71, of Summerville, husband of Nancy P. Langley died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Trident Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 3 o'clock at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 888 Central Avenue, Summerville. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, North Charleston.
Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 until 8 o'clock Saturday evening.

Douglas was born September 22, 1937 in Charleston, son of the late Douglas Brailsford Langley and Ellen Herring Langley. He was a graduate of Winyah High School, Georgetown. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Washington Redskins Fan; but most of all he loved his family. He was owner of Langley's Cleaning Service for 40 years and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are:

Isla O. Perritt
Isla Mae Owens Perritt, 73, of Georgetown, predeceased by her husband, Walter E. Perritt, Jr., died Wednesday, June 17,2009 at Kingston Nursing Center in Conway, S.C.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Georgetown Church of God. Officiating will be Rev. Terry L. Wilkerson, Rev. Ossie Deas and Rev. Wayland Owens.
She was born September 14, 1935 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Joe Owens and the late Dalma Phipps Owens.
Mrs. Perritt was a resident of Georgetown where she worked for Wal-Mart for 17 years. She was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and enjoyed working with her flowers as well.
Surviving are: 1 daughter, Cindy Perritt Howard (Van) and 4 sons; William Harold Perritt (Boni), Mitchell Owens Perritt (Carolyn), Steven Paul Perritt (Sheila) and James Michael Perritt.
Two brothers: James Owens and Bobby Owens of Mullins, S.C. Ten grand children and 12 great grand children and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Junior Owens and Thomas Owens.

Nathaniel Porchia
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Nathaniel Porchia, 59, of 1804 Big Bay Rd., Andrews, who departed this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but will be announced later. The family are receiving friends at the residence.

Shirley C. Teasdale
Shirley Ann Crowe Teasdale, 82, of Oswego, New York/ Georgetown, SC, predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Wallace Dale Teasdale, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 in Oswego, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 22, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Roman Catholic Church.
Officiating will be Father Ronald J. Farrell. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
She was born December 19, 1927 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John Edward Crowe and the late Faye Elizabeth Meyer Crowe.
Mrs. Teasdale was a resident of Georgetown for 23 years where she was the manager of Senior Catering.
Her hobbies included reading and music of all types. She was known for her positive attitude, zest for life and people and devotion to her family. She was also a Democratic Committee Woman in Mount Lebanon, Pa.
Surviving are: Dean W. Teasdale of Westminster, CO, Scott M. Teasdale of Crystal Lake, Il, Pamela F. Waite (Brian) of Oswego, NY, and Clark M. Teasdale (Cindy) of Thornton, CO. Twelve Grandchildren and 3 Great Grand children also survive.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home on Sunday evening June 21, 2009 from 2 PM until 4 PM.
