Dr. L. Bradford Courtney
Dr. L. Bradford Courtney, age 77, of Conway, S.C. died peacefully Friday morning, January 11, 2013 at his home, overlooking the Great Pee Dee River.
Born in the Couchton Community of Aiken he was predeceased by his parents Clarence Cosmo and Willie Burckhalter Courtney.
Dr. Courtney was a graduate of Aiken High School, University of South Carolina and a 1961 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina.
He was a beloved pediatrician and cared for generations of children at Conway Pediatrics for over 48 years.
He was a member of Kingston Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Courtney served in the United States Navy as a Lt. Commander during the Vietnam War.
Dr. Courtney was predeceased by his beloved first wife, Carolyn Nelson Fortson Courtney; brothers, Clarence Courtney Jr., Gordon Courtney and Leslie Courtney; and a sister, Martha Courtney Woodruff.
The love of family was the focus of his life, and he is survived by his wife, Lynda Taylor Courtney; two sons, Brad (Kimberly) Courtney and Press (Jennifer) Courtney; six daughters, Mary Caroline (Wallace) Vaught, Alys (Ed) Lawson, Gwen (Pat) Webster, Cyndi (Darren) Smith, Jessica (Craig) Sasser and Lauren (Lad) Hunter; and best friend, Franklin (Delbra) Hicks; grandchildren, Bradford, Blake, Carolyn and Mary Wallis Vaught, Kate and Paul Lawson, Rick and Anna Foxworth, Max and Rachel Webster, Ford and Glenn Courtney, West, Sarah and Jordan Pressley Courtney, Marshall and John Henry Sasser, and Sophia Smith; great-grandchildren, Wade, Erich and Millie Vaught; father-in-law, Robert Moore Taylor; and a brother, William O'Neil (Yvonne) Courtney of Aiken.
The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Kingston Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Rhett Talbert officiating.
Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum.

Linda Graham
Linda Ann Haselden Graham, 65, of Georgetown, S.C., widow of Eugene Graham, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her home.
Born on September 18, 1947, in Hemingway, S.C. she was a daughter of the late Mose Haselden and the late Minnie Lee Parker.
Mrs. Graham was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and was retired from Landy’s Dry Cleaners.
Survivors include two children, Joseph “Mitch” Richardson of Greenville and Margaret Richardson Roblero of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Briza, Briana and Miguel Roblero, all of Georgetown; four brothers; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 in the Graham Cemetery with the Rev. Themos Cribb officiating.
The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Graham Funeral Home.

Mary Harrison
Mary Kae Harrison, 59, passed away on January 8, 2013 at her home.
Born on September 5, 1953, in Columbia, S.C., she was the daughter of Mary Katherine Dunn Harrison and the late Dr. A. Franklin Harrison III.
Ms. Harrison was a registered nurse and was a member of the South Carolina Nurses Association.
She enjoyed traveling and had a sincere love for animals.
Ms. Harrison loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her mother, Katherine Harrison of Georgetown; three brothers, Frank Harrison and his wife Susan of Lugoff, Brian Harrison of Columbia and Michael Harrison of Columbia; step mother, Joanne Harrison of Columbia; two nieces, Katelin and Mara Harrison; two nephews, Caleb and Justin Harrison; close friends, John and Sara Hardee of West Columbia; two beloved pets, Cammi and Kokoa; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
An Inurnment Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Brad Dunn officiating.
Memorials may be made to any local animal shelter.
