FUNERAL SERVICES
Leo Cyr
Leo C. Cyr, 85, husband of Muriel E. Cyr of Georgetown, died Saturday December 19, 2009 in Tidelands Hospice House.
A mass will be held Tuesday December 22, 2009 at noon in St. Cyprians Catholic Church.
Officiating will be Rev. Patrick J. Stenson.
A committal service, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cyr was born June 2, 1924 in Pittsfield, MA, a son of the late Fred B. Cyr and the late Marie Daigle Cyr.
He was a Navy veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Cyr retired in 1970 from Pittsfield Fire Department and later retired from General Electric of Pittsfield in 1986.
He and his wife moved to Georgetown in 1997.
He was a member of St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church in Georgetown, a member of VFW # 448 in Dalton, MA, and a member of the Italian American club in Pittsfield, MA.
Surviving are his wife, Muriel E. Cyr of Georgetown; two sons, Michael J. Cyr of Memphis, TN and David L. Cyr and his wife Susan of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Dustin, Davis, Nicole and Sara Cyr, all of Georgetown; two sisters, Lena C. Horton of Syracuse, NY and Laura C. Wehry of Richmond, VA; one brother, Louis A. Cyr of Benton AR; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday December 21, 2009 at Graham Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Cyprians Catholic Church, 1905 Front Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.

Dr. Louis Nesmith
Dr. Louis Edward Nesmith died Saturday, December 19, 2009, in Charleston, SC.
He was a retired medical doctor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway, Charleston.
Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 21, 2009, between three and five o’clock at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street, Charleston.
