Judith DuBose
Judith Lynn Riewaldt Skinner DuBose, 72, wife of Walter “Buddy” Harrison DuBose Jr., of Summerville, S.C. passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012.
The relatives and friends of Judith DuBose were invited to attend her Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Cathedral of Praise.
Interment was at 2 p.m. at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens, Georgetown, S.C.
Arrangements were by J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston.
The family received friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr Northwoods Chapel.
Judith was born October 23, 1939 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, daughter of Carl Herman Riewaldt and Violet Evelyn Burgess.
She was employed as an actress/model and was formerly employed by WCIV TV and WEZL Radio.
Judith was a member of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Charleston Singers Guild Chorus and Cathedral of Praise.
She enjoyed her prize winning rose garden at home.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Walter “Buddy” Harrison DuBose Jr.; two daughters, Cynthia Skinner Rhodes (Patrick) of Simpsonville, Kent. and Deborah Diane Skinner of Phoenix, Ariz.; step-daughter, Lisa DuBose of Hanahan, S.C.; sister, Joan Schuermeyer (Bill) of Newton, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Skinner (Tracy), Nicholas Skinner, Bethany Butler, Campbell Rhodes, Anderson Rhodes, Austin Duncan and Amanda Duncan; and a great-grandson, William Skinner.

Billy Ethridge
Billy “Goat” Ethridge, 68, of Andrews, S.C. died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Ethridge was born in Andrews on July 20, 1943, a son of the late William Woodrow Ethridge and Stella Casselman Ethridge.
He lived all his life in the Big Dam Swamp community of Georgetown County and was a graduate of Andrews High School.
Mr. Ethridge retired in 2000 as maintenance supervisor at Atochem.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved gardening.
Mr. Ethridge was a member of John’s Lake Hunting Club.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Harriett Casselman Ethridge of Andrews; three daughters, Pamela Ray (Bubba), Angela Cox (Ben), and Jennifer Cox (Jason), all of Andrews; three sisters, Carolyn Eaddy (Jim) and Judy Feagin, both of Georgetown, and Kay Wheeler (Bruce) of Andrews; nine grandchildren, Christopher Ray (Becky), Heather and Cody Ray, Chase and Zach Marshall, Abigail and Annabele Cox, and Jordyn and Jenna Cox, all of Andrews; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ethridge was predeceased by a sister, Debra Jane Ethridge, and a grandchild, Daniel Jacobs.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, April 17, 2012, at the Family Worship Center.
Officiating was the Rev. Murray Powell, the Rev. Becky Tilton, and the Rev. J. W. Casselman.
Burial followed at Ivey Cemetery.
The family received friends on Monday evening, April 16, 2012, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from six until eight o’clock.

Elizabeth Green
Mrs. Elizabeth Green, better known as “Jok,” 84, of the Dunbar Community of Georgetown County, died on Monday, April 16, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church in the Dunbar Community with Rev. Eddie Gamble Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The remains will lie in state in the sanctuary of the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
Viewing will be Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Linen-Knox Funeral Home at 1632 Emanuel Street in Georgetown.
Surviving are her nine children, Betty Lynn of Brooklyn, N.Y., Alpressa Linen, Sandra Grate and Calanda Linen, all of the Dunbar Community, Don Green and Harvey Green, both of Georgetown, Ray Charles Green of Kansas City, Kans., Michael Kenneth Green of Conway and Mark Green of Pawleys Island, S.C.; and a host of loving grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Simone Harper
Simone Shaquilla "Monie" Harper, age 7, of 207 River View Street in Oatland Community, Georgetown, S.C., went home to be with the Lord of Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at St. Paul AME Church in the Oatland Community of Georgetown with Rev. Melvin Coleman, officiating.
Burial follows in the Church Cemetery under the direction of McKnight-Fraser Funeral Homes.

Little Miss Harper, a daughter of Paulette Yolanda Cuttino and Jeffery Christopher Harper, was born March 23, 2005 in Charleston, SC.
She attended Browns Ferry Elementary School.
Survivors are her mother and father, Paulette Yolanda Cuttino and Jeffery Christopher Harper; her sibings, Monroe W. Smith, III, Jeffery Christopher Harper, Jr. and Cheyenne Alexis Cuttino, Zaquan Harper; her maternal grandparents, Jimmy Cuttino and Alma Ree Cuttino; and her paternal grandfather, Henry Harper.
Christine Luber
Christine A. Luber of Murrells Inlet, lost her long battle with Multiple Sclerosis on April 16, 2012.
Those who knew Chris were inspired by her bravery, strength and the smile she wore until the very end.
Born in South Amboy, N.J., she moved to Murrells Inlet in 2006 from Forked River, N.J.
A graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School in New York City, Chris worked for Bell Labs before retiring from the Manchester Township Board of Education in Whiting, NJ. She attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School in South Amboy, N.J.
Chris leaves behind her loving husband Jack Luber; a son, Paul Harrigan (Sandi) of Forked River, N.J.; a daughter, Cheryl Harrigan of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Faith Luber of Surfside Beach and Penni (John) Weninger of Grand Rapids, MI; two aunts, Frances Dovi of Surfside Beach and Concetta Primka of South Amboy, N.J.; a niece, two nephews and many cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents: Arthur and Mary Vigilante Rufner of South Amboy, N.J.
Friends are welcome to attend a toast in Chris' memory from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Luber home on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

Mrs. Lillie Mae McKnight, 65, of Andrews, S.C.
Mrs. McKnight went home to be with the Lord on Wedesday, April 11, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice, Georgetown, S.C.
Services were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Mt. Lebanon AME Church in Andrews, with Rev. Willie J. Chandler, officiating.
Burial followed in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of McKnight-Fraser Funeral Homes.

Mrs. McKnight, a daughter of the late John T. and Carrie Chandler, was born on Novermber 21, 1946 in Andrews.
She was educated in Georgetown County public schools.
Those left to cherish her memories are two sons, Rev. Willie J. Chandler and Derrick Chandler of Andrews; one daughter, Angela Barr, Johnsonville, S.C.; one grandson she reared as her own, Antonio Mitchum, Rusten, La.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
