Long Bay Symphony to present concert in Pawleys Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Long Bay Symphony will be presenting a chamber music concert at 4 p.m. on April 15th at All Saints Church in Pawleys Island.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students and are available through the symphony office or at the church.
The show is called “A Musical Tour of Europe” and features William Terwilliger, violin, and Jeffrey Jones, baritone.
Experience a variety of popular symphonic selections, from Viennese Classical to Italian comic opera, Romantic period works from France, Russia and Germany, and folk-inspired classics from Eastern Europe.
Everyone will recognize the famous “Largo al factotum” area (“Figaro Figaro”) from The Barber of Seville.
Since its 19th-century premiere, the Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso has continued to be one of Saint-Saëns most popular compositions.
With a 35 piece Chamber Orchestra and the talented guest artists attendees will certainly feel  transported through “A Musical Tour of Europe.”

Rossini — “Largo al factotum” from The Barber of Seville
Berlioz — “Sur les lagunes” from Les nuits d’été
Saint-Saëns — “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso”
Tchaikovsky — “Sérénade mélancoliqu”e
Schumann — “Overture, Scherzo & Finale”
Dvorák — “Czech” Suite
