Exact opposite
President Obama recently said that the hard-working, risk-taking and self-sacrificing entrepreneur is not responsible for their own success but that they owe their success to the government. Aside from being insulting, it actually is exactly opposite of the truth.
The hard-working, risk-taking and self-sacrificing entrepreneur is responsible not only for their own success, but also anything and everything that the government manages to do right, which often is not much. The subsidies that Barack Obama received to attend college and law school came from some entrepreneur who either paid their business taxes or employed someone who paid their income taxes or simply donated to the school so people like Obama could go for free.
When Barack Obama taught law school, entrepreneurs paid for his office and computer and salary and benefits. They now pay his salary as president of the United States.
Barack Obama truly would be nothing without the entrepreneurs who have paid his way from the cradle up to now. I don't expect him to thank them, but at least he should stop insulting them.

Chicken or the Egg, which came first?
President Obama seems to have no clue to the answer to this old question. He says if you have a small business, you didn't build that, someone else did that! Sure, there's plenty of people along the way that help individuals and businesses to be successful. But his implication is it all starts with the government. He's forgotten or refuses to acknowledge the source of the government's money.
The government has no money of its own. It has no wealth of its own. They take all of what they spent, or waste, from individual tax payers, small businesses and large corporations. The government is dependent on the private sector, which the President seems determined to destroy.
The President is working overtime to dry up the source of money needed to fund the dependent society he's building. It’s a self-destructive paradox that will land us all in the poor house, rich, poor and middle class alike. It’s impossible to understand how otherwise intelligent people can continue to support this administration and its policies.
If anyone out there understands how this approach can possibly work out, please let me know what I'm missing.

Fight for religious liberty
Tommy Howard’s piece on religious liberty pointed out the peril that religion faces here in the U.S. Our liberal President and his cohorts see secularism as the only way to break the backs of the opposition to government control of our lives.
Fairly or unfairly, Mr. Howard states that many Muslims have been ostracized in the wake of the terror attacks of 9/11. There is a difference between culture and a civilization. Most people would have no problem with the Muslim religion if it were not for their insistence on following Sharia Law. The Islam faith is not only religious, but is also a form of laws and government, that, if allowed to grow, is a direct attack on western civilization.
How you regulate one without infringing on the other is something that, for the good of our country, has to be addressed in the near future. The Mormon practice of polygamy was abolished as they pursued assimilation into American society. Here’s hoping that the Muslims in the U.S. choose the same path, assimilate into western civilization, and join with us in our fight against secularism.
