"Turnovers are what hurt us tonight," Georgetown coach Joey Smith said of the Lady Bulldogs Tuesday.
His girls' varsity team lost 81-22 to the Myrtle Beach Seahawks in a home game.
"The last three games, we've been struggling with turnovers. Our passes haven't been crisp.
"If we can conquer this, our season is salvageable and playoffs are still possible," Smith said.
"Our girls played good defensively. If we do that for four quarters, anything is possible."
Myrtle Beach jumped ahead 27-2 in the first quarter, and at the half the score was 34-9. After the break, the third-quarter score was 63-14 and the final was 81-22.
Georgetown's main scorers were C. Brown 7; A. Lennon 5; A. Daniel 4 with 8 rebounds; and A. Minnifield grabbed 12 rebounds.
For Myrtle Beach, leaders were K. Sessions 25; D. Cooper 15; and T. Brown 14.
